Risk Manager

We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join our trading team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with trading activities. Key Responsibilities

  1. Risk Assessment: Analyze and evaluate risks associated with trading strategies, products, and market conditions.
  2. Model Development: Develop and maintain risk models to quantify potential losses and assess risk exposure.
  3. Monitoring: Continuously monitor trading activities and market conditions to identify emerging risks and recommend actionable strategies.
  4. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on risk exposure, trading performance, and compliance with risk policies for senior management and stakeholders.
  5. Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with traders, compliance, and other departments to ensure adherence to risk management frameworks.
  7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that trading activities comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  8. Training: Provide training and support to trading staff on risk management practices and tools.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (CFA, FRM, etc.) is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in risk management within a trading environment, preferably in equities, derivatives, or fixed income.
  3. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in risk assessment tools and software.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
  5. Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to trading and risk management.
